The purpose of the Equity in Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) webinar series is to promote equity through IECMHC by building awareness of the impact of institutional racism and other forms of bias on the experiences of children and families from marginalized communities, identifying policies that support more equitable systems, and strengthening culturally responsive IECMHC practices that reduce disparities and improve child outcomes.

This session will:
  • Examine issues of racialized inequities and bias in the early care and education experiences for Latino children and families.
  • Explore a strengths-based approach to forging culturally and linguistically responsive relationships.
  • Identify policies and practices to strengthen culturally responsiveness in IECMHC in order to reduce disparities and support children’s healthy development and learning.

Live ASL interpreter services and a simultaneous Spanish language interpretation audio channel will be available during this webinar.
