TOMORROW
Representative John Kuempel
Chair of the House Higher Education Committee
| This week we are joined by Rep. John Kuempel, who serves as Chair of the House Higher Education Committee. For decades the left has viewed Colleges and Universities as incubators for radical leftist ideology. Since Biden has been president, their efforts have been in overdrive. The left wants to take as much ground as they can while taking advantage of the current administration's support. | Recently we had a guest who shed light on the detrimental impact of "DEI" initiatives. If you missed the call, you can watch it online here. However, it is crucial not to miss our upcoming talk with Chairman Kuempel. There is mounting opposition to DEI initiatives, and several bills are currently being debated to address these concerns. It is unfortunate that higher education faces not only the issue of DEI, but also the left's efforts to undermine women's sports. While there were once commendable efforts to provide women with more opportunities in collegiate sports, the left is now actively seeking to destroy these opportunities. Chairman Kuempel is actively involved in the discussion and decision-making process, and we eagerly anticipate hearing from him. | As usual we also look forward to the insight and perspectives of Sen. Bryan Hughes, Rep. Jacey Jetton and Rep. Stephanie Klick. It is understandable to be anxious about all the leftwing craziness out there, but Texas is not going quietly into the night. Encouraging legislators as we push back against the radical left starts with the grassroots. We hope you can join us! | |

Republican-Led States Are Driving Job Growth |
While Democrats continue to spend, fuel inflation, and endorse bad economic policy, Republican governors and state legislatures continue to deliver economic prosperity for the American people.
What you need to know:
- The Biden-Harris economic agenda has caused nothing but pain and misery for American families.
- Americans are poorer under the Biden economy.
- Workers want higher wages and under Biden’s economy, wages were at their lowest level in months.
- Inflation is continuing to eat up any gains as it remains above 5%.
-
72% of middle-class families say they are financially falling behind because of inflation.
-
The average American’s real disposable income is lower than when Biden took office.
- Republican-led states are the ones creating jobs and leading the economic recovery.
-
The latest state jobs report shows that 8 of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- One of these states – Arizona – had a Republican governor up until January.
-
Out of the top 12 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 10 are led by Republican governors.
- Americans are voting with their feet, with Democrat-run states seeing a mass exodus as families and businesses are flocking to Republican-led states.
-
The top 10 counties that saw the largest decreases in population in 2022 are all located in states led by Democrat governors, with these counties home to Democrat-run cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, and Detroit
The bottom line:
Republican governors and legislatures have built economic engines even in the face of massive inflationary headwinds from Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats. If you want an economy that works for you, vote Republican.
| Every Day Is Tax Day Under Biden |
This week, Tax Day came and went, but under the Biden administration, high taxes and bad economic policies are here to stay.
What you need to know:
- From day one, Biden has sought to shake down the middle class for every penny possible. In less than 3 years Biden has:
-
Raised the tax burden on people making as little as $20,000 per year, breaking his campaign promise.
-
Expanded the IRS with $80 billion, which will lead to an estimated 710,000 new audits of people making less than $75,000 per year.
-
Targeted Americans who earn just $600 on payment apps like Venmo – resulting in as many as four million new tax forms for small businesses.
-
Levied a hidden inflation tax for two straight years, which has already cost families an estimated $10,000.
-
If that's not enough, Biden's latest $69 trillion budget would make things even worse. It would:
-
Slam Americans with at least a dozen tax hikes totaling " $4.7 trillion in new and expanded taxes."
-
Increase the business tax rate to 28%, which the Tax Foundation estimates will kill 129,000 jobs, shrink the economy, and cut wages for low-income Americans.
-
Despite high gas prices, add $31 billion in tax hikes on U.S. oil and gas production.
The bottom line:
Americans cannot afford more of Biden's bad policies
|
Over 6.3 Million Illegal Crossings |
Biden's border crisis only continues to get worse and worse each day, putting the safety of border patrol, law enforcement, and everyday Americans in jeopardy.
What you need to know:
The bottom line:
This is the worst border crisis on record. Republican leaders in Congress will continue to hold Biden and the Democrats accountable for the humanitarian crisis they created.
