A Message From Our Principal

Dear Tolt Families,

We are gearing up for another great year at Tolt! As we start the year, we want our students to feel welcomed and a part of our school community. We are looking forward to seeing them soon!

This year, we are consistently scheduling time for students to go over school-wide expectations, learn social-emotional skills, engage in inclusion and belonging lessons, and for our 6th graders to take part in ongoing WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) activities. This will occur during an extended 5th period on the first and third Wednesday of every month during Tolt Time. Click here to view our Tolt Time bell schedule, along with all our bell schedules.

Please welcome the following new staff members to Tolt: Mary Pat Hall (Math Teacher), Radhika Kaluskar (Math Teacher), and Kim Snavely (Choir and Tech Teacher). We also have two open Language Arts teacher positions, so stay tuned for more new staff announcements coming soon. In addition, Carrie Holeman will be moving out of the classroom to be our new librarian. This outstanding group of educators is looking forward to working with our students!

Thank you to our wonderful Tolt Middle School PTSA for purchasing a second outdoor ping pong table. Our students will very much enjoy even more ping pong during lunches!

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 6 and 7 this year. To help us gather information, please complete this short survey by September 6 at 4PM.S

We hope your student is getting excited for school to start--please be sure to check out the important upcoming dates below! Go Bears!

Attention:  First Day of School Schedule!

First Day of School--September 6th, 2022

The first day of school on Tuesday, September 6th will look different this year as we re-introduce Tolt's WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program. WEB helps students transition into 6th grade through engaging activities led by 8th grade student leaders.

In the morning, 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders will be the only students on campus as they participate in WEB activities. The morning will include a welcome assembly, community-building activities, and a tour of our campus. Our 7th and 8th grade students will arrive in the afternoon for shortened class periods. Here is some important information, with times to note:

*6th graders will catch their bus at the normal time and arrive at Tolt for the start of school at 8:25AM. Breakfast will be available for purchase in the MPR as it normally is in the mornings when students get off the bus. There will be a 30-minute lunch scheduled for all 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders.

*7th and 8th graders will catch their bus 4 hours later than normal for a 12:25PM start time (this means if the bus normally picks a student up at 7:38 am, the bus will pick them up at 11:38 am on the first day of school).  An optional lunch for purchase (after bus arrival and before 1st period), will be available in the MPR similarly to how breakfast is served in the mornings.  Please have your students eat at home before coming to school if they are not purchasing lunch at Tolt on the first day.  7th and 8th graders should not arrive on campus until at least noon as their day will not start until 12:25 pm.
