We blend scientific communications with breakthrough creative to drive our clients’ businesses. We know what’s worked in the past isn’t necessarily what will move healthcare forward, and we believe the time to evolve is now!

We believe that science and creativity don’t just go hand and hand – they are one and the same. We believe that all progress – be it personal or clinical – starts with a thought experiment. That stone-cold data can make a heart-melting impact and that nothing is more emotional than a person’s health.

Pioneers who join us are part alchemist, part futurist, part daredevil, part humanist, part explorer and part geek…and together, we’re creating an entirely new form of communications. We value EQ as much as IQ. Working at RXM is an amazing opportunity to get people talking, thinking and behaving differently. This spirit of relentless curiosity is reflected in our deep commitment to fostering and cultivating a culture and environment where we celebrate and advance diversity, equity and inclusion for all.

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Vice President who would work on two exciting pieces of business within our client portfolio. This person would support both a growing biotech on the frontlines of transforming the cancer screening process, as well as one leading the way in developing the first new treatment for schizophrenia in decades. This is a hybrid role, and we're open to hiring in either NYC or Chicago.

You will have the opportunity to work with a groundbreaking biotech creating buzz in the healthcare community for its blood test that screens for cancers before they are symptomatic. The work will start with unbranded activations featuring a celebrity spokesperson to showcase the ambitions, hopes and goals of people living with schizophrenia. Later in the year, you will support data milestones and prepare for a potential regulatory approval.

You will team up with the Group Senior Vice President on these accounts and lead the larger integrated team – strategy, brand, digital, creative, project management and earned media – to develop strategies, execute tactics and meet client objectives.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead, drive and review materials and client deliverables, including coordinating with the integrated teams to keep projects moving forward; proactively provide updates to team leads and colleagues

  • Help lead a high-functioning integrated team; serve as a manager to select Brand team members on account; mentor colleagues
  • Work with teams and Finance to manage account budget; assign team target hours for billability and profitability, effectively managing programs and ensuring efficiency
  • Continually seek to evolve your knowledge of your specialty, client’s business and competitors, vertical industry, media landscape and emerging trends in consumer behavior

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 8-10 years of healthcare / pharma PR experience in a communications agency; oncology and/or neurology experience is a plus; 4+ years of supervisory experience and the ability to lead and manage integrated marketing work teams
  • Experience leading large, multi-prong integrated campaigns and teams across corporate visibility, disease awareness and data/regulatory communications projects
  • Understanding of FDA rules and regulations and ability to lead a high-science account
  • Tenacious, driven, self-motivated, detail-oriented, multi-tasking leader who is comfortable moving things ahead in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Client-centric strategic partner who shares knowledge respectfully and is unafraid to push back to offer important counsel as needed
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketing and communications; interested in knowing and keeping a pulse on both the oncology and neurology spaces
  • Proven track record in client service, strategy development and execution of data driven PR and digital campaigns in the healthcare/pharma space
