Alumni who are not advisors: $110


Prices will increase $100 per registration on September 21. 

No new registrations or any changes can be made after October 1.

The Walter B. Cooper Scholarship Application is NOW OPEN!

Walter B. Cooper was an advisor for the Alpha Gamma Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.  The memories of Mr. Cooper’s efforts within and outside of Phi Theta Kappa are still visible today every time his name is mentioned.  Mr. Cooper advised students how to become well-rounded individuals in each of the Society’s hallmarks.  It is with this concept in mind that the Texas Region Alumni Association presents this scholarship in memory of Walter B. Cooper.

Requirements:  Individuals applying for this scholarship must be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa at a community college who will be pursuing a baccalaureate degree in the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.

NOTE: Any member who received any scholarship under the Dr. Mary Hood STAR Scholarship program in 2024 is ineligible for the 2024 Walter B. Cooper Memorial Scholarship.  

All applications must be submitted through the online form.  Please make sure all documentation is submitted at the same time.  If the application is incomplete, it will not be judged.  All applications are due (must be received) by 11:59 PM CDT on September 15, 2024.

Scholarship winners will be announced at the 2024 Texas Leadership Conference.
