At the May 29 Annual General Meeting, we welcomed Victoria Clarke of Tourism Mississauga to our Board of Directors. Victoria brings 15 years of experience in destination marketing and community leadership, making her a valuable addition. We also thank Traci Bednard, President & CEO of Explore Edmonton, for her significant contributions during the pandemic. Post-AGM, Nina Kressler was re-elected as Chair. Additionally, May saw the launch of the Canadian Tourism Data Collective, a groundbreaking platform set to revolutionize the tourism industry and boost Canada's competitiveness, aiming to generate up to $160 billion in annual revenue. I look forward to seeing its positive impact on our sector. |
