PARISH ACTIVITIES

Important Announcement! Email/Text Scammers

It has come to our attention that several churches in our area have been experiencing high-level spamming techniques to gather email and phone information. Unfortunately, this has also impacted us.

Please review and be suspicious of any strange requests that you may get. And know that St. Anne and its staff will never ask you, via email or text, to "discuss a confidential matter", buy gift cards, send donations to strange places, or request other forms of financial assistance. If you receive such requests, simply delete them.

Additionally, do not give your membership directory login to anyone, even if an email comes from someone claiming to be a church member.

Thanks for your understanding and patience as we deal with this ongoing reality for church communities.

New! Welcoming The Rev. Michael Smith

For those who were not at church this past Sunday, we were delighted to welcome Fr. Mike Smith as St. Anne's new Assisting Priest. Fr. Mike is a semi-retired priest in the Diocese who has served several parishes alongside his career in higher education. He will be with us approximately two Sundays per month and will also support several other ministry areas as we continue to build and expand our offerings at St. Anne. We are thrilled to welcome him and his husband, Michael Newman, into our midst. I'm grateful for Fr. Mike's willingness to give of his time and many talents to our parish. Please do welcome them when you next see them at church, and contact me with any questions!

--Fr. Phil

New! Nursery Helpers Needed

We need you! As part of our commitment to Safe Church guidelines, our nursery must have one adult plus one additional person over 16 present at all times. Kim Briede continues in her role in the Nursery and we will be posting a second staff nursery attendant position to provide greater consistency of care. In the meantime, volunteers are needed to provide backup support during the worship service. All that's required is a 1.5-2 hour online training, valid for five years. Safe nursery care is a valuable way to help our families with young children get the most out of their worship experience. If you are interested in helping with this important ministry, or have questions on how to obtain Safe Church training, please reach out to Greear Frischmuth (mgf.saec@gmail.com) or sign up on the sheet posted outside the nursery.

Sunday Summer Potlucks

Summer is upon us and we will be having brunch potlucks after the Sunday service for hospitality and fellowship. Dates are June 30, August 11, and September 8. Signups to bring food are in the community room. Questions can be sent to Jody Baird, Vestry Liaison for Hospitality & Fellowship, at Jordanbaird1@gmail.com.

Friday Fellowship events

The Hospitality committee is announcing new fun Friday Fellowships (similar to the "After Golf" gatherings some may remember but obviously no golf involved!)  These will be every other Friday starting June 28 at the host's home or a venue of their choice. Each host will provide the entree and request whatever additional dishes they would like. There is a poster in the community room where you can sign up for a date to host. As soon as the host's date is two weeks away, please post a guest sign up with the details of the evening: time, food requested, BYOB, and bring a lawn chair if needed, etc. Questions? Contact Frankie Croisant.
