Mike Smith (himself a former Roman Catholic priest) the discussion will explore some of the primary reasons Roman Catholics are leaving their denomination in search of something else to feed their spiritual journey. We will also explore ways in which we can reach out to those who feel abandoned by the Roman Catholic Church.

Education for Ministry

Do you desire to go a little deeper, learn a little more about your faith?  Wondering how to live into your baptismal vows?  Education for Ministry (EFM) is a four-year program of group study intended to develop a richer foundation for life and ministry. EfM covers Hebrew Scripture, the Christian Testament, Church History, and Theology. The program was developed by the School of Theology at the University of the South and is sponsored by the Diocese of Southern Ohio. Many at St. Anne attended classes mentored by Hawley Todd, who leads discussions that help you find your way into deeper relationship God and each other. It is a truly transformative experience.  Contact Hawley Todd to register directly for one of his classes at efm.htodd@efm.sewanee.edu.  Or if you have questions and want to learn more, reach out to Sister Kathleen Clare, Bernie Murray, Bob Pearson or anyone that has already taken this course.  Some of you have already participated in an EFM discovery session.  We are open to having other sessions if there is interest.

Calling All Youth!

Nursery clean day is scheduled for August 4th from 11:30 am till 3 pm. Youth aged 12 to 23 are invited to join in cleaning, purging and sanitizing the nursery. Even if you can only be there for a small time, come join us! We will enjoy pizza, drinks and fun as we prepare the nursery for the new school year. Email eycstannechurch@gmail.com to confirm you will be there.

Nursery Helpers Needed

We need you! As part of our commitment to Safe Church guidelines, our nursery must have one adult plus one additional person over 16 present at all times. Kim Briede continues in her role in the Nursery, and we will be posting a second staff nursery attendant position to provide greater consistency of care. In the meantime, volunteers are needed to provide backup support during the worship service. All that's required is a 1.5-2 hour online training, valid for five years. Safe nursery care is a valuable way to help our families with young children get the most out of their worship experience. If you are interested in helping with this important ministry or have questions on how to obtain Safe Church training, contact Greear Frischmuth at mgf.saec@gmail.com or sign up on the sheet posted outside the nursery.
