Sunday Morning Schedule



This Sunday, September 8, we will return to our regular schedule with 9:15am Kairos worship in the fellowship hall, the education hour at 10:15am, and 11:15am traditional worship in the sanctuary. This week, we will all gather together in the fellowship hall for a kickoff breakfast during the worship hour.

Safe Place Policy



We encourage everyone who will be working with our children and youth and has not been through training in the last three years to attend our upcoming Safe Place Policy training on September 8 during traditional worship. You'll still be able to attend our Kairos service and Biscuits and Beginnings!

Youth Kickoff

All youth and parents are invited to a kickoff event at the church this Sunday, September 8 from 5-7pm. We’ll enjoy dinner and fun and share plans for the new year!

New Women’s Bible Study

Our 10am Monday and 6:30pm Tuesday Women’s Bible Study groups will begin their new 7-week study on “When You Pray” on September 9 and 10. Email beth@hickoryfpc.org to receive an email with all the details!

New Confirmation Class

A new confirmation class will begin soon, and anyone in 8^th grade or older is invited to attend. Please contact Virginia Kackley (virginia@hickoryfpc.org) if you are interested or have questions.

Musical Event at FPC

This Sunday, September 8, Stone’s Throw will present a free recital in our sanctuary at 3pm. The group will cross from Celtic to Classical with violinist Diana Stone accompanied by Martha Hill on piano, Margaret Walters on flute, and Jessica Stone Eustis on cello.

We recommend using onrealm.org on your device rather than the app. We plan to offer in-person help on the system at the church in the coming months. 

YMCA Yoga at FPC

The Hickory YMCA is holding yoga classes in our high school room while they are under construction. They have graciously offered free classes to our members age 13 and above while they are using our space. Click here for the latest schedule.

Blessing Box Update

Thanks so much for supporting our Blessing Box! We encourage you to fill our box with individually packaged non-perishable foods, toiletries, and clothing. You are welcome to fill the box yourself or drop off your donations at the church office.
