I trust this letter finds you well and thriving as we navigated through the first quarter of the year. Time truly has a habit of racing ahead, doesn't it?
I'm delighted to share some highlights from our recent programs. Last week, amidst the solar eclipse, we hosted our annual ACC Golf Tournament. It was not just a day of swings and putts but also a testament to our collective commitment to support the Asian Chamber Foundation. Thank you to our amazing committee: Ning Kang, Mike Pankratz and Daniel Yoo. Together, we raised vital funds that will directly benefit senior high school students across the Greater Houston area.
AANHPI (Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander) Month is just around the corner, and we have an exciting month of activities planned. Before May even begins, we are kicking off our Restaurant Series, comprising of three educational seminars designed to equip restaurateurs and their teams with the tools and information they need to excel and grow their businesses.
Our first event, hosted by Sysco on April 22, will explore the importance of vendor relations as well as competitive pricing. It promises to be an insightful session that will undoubtedly benefit all participants. See below for more information.
Furthermore, one of our favorite events from last year, the Have You Eaten Yet? luncheon, returns on May 2 at Ocean Palace. This luncheon is not only a celebration of AANHPI month but also serves as the kickoff to Asian Restaurant Month. During this special occasion, we will have the opportunity to listen to the journey to success of three James Beard Foundation recognized chefs: Kiran Verma, Tom Cunanan, and Vanarian Kuch. We invite you to join us for this fun celebratory luncheon.
Lastly, if you are a food/drink establishment and are interested in being listed in Asian Restaurant Month presented by Sysco, be sure to check out the flyer below for more details. The listing is free of charge thanks to our sponsors and partners.
We have many more exciting programs planned for the upcoming months, so be sure to check our weekly newsletters for updates.
With warm regards,
Sydney Dao
