A Pastoral Perspective

The First Christian Church was successful despite fierce opposition from Jewish religious leaders and the Roman Empire. One major factor for the tremendous growth was the unity of the believers in Christ Jesus.

The saying, “United we stand and divided we fall,” implies that when we stand together, we are able to overcome any opposition and accomplish any objective.

This mindset is vital in Kingdom warfare. We must work together and fight for the King’s agenda. The god of this world is constantly waging war against the Kingdom of light. One of his greatest weapons is to cause division among God’s people.

As our church moves forward, harmony and togetherness become more crucial. We may not understand or agree with everything, but we must trust God when we don’t. Confusion comes from the devil and can cause doubt. This can lead to conflicts, which can cause disruption of progress.

Our pastor wants us to stay connected to the Vine, which also connects us to each other. We may be attached in different places on the Vine, but we all have the same purpose – to bear fruit.

But there is a cost to bearing fruit. The Vinedresser prunes the branches so that they can bear more fruit. The pruning process can be painful, but it is always productive. So, remember, What you are going through may not be from the enemy; it could be you are being prepared to produce more than you thought you could.
