TAP ANNOUNCES OUR LATEST INNOVATION
On Wednesday January 25, TAP unveiled their latest innovation to our members and to the billiard industry in general. Before we get to this news, we would like to say that TAP along with Run Out apps was the first league to integrate a score keeping system directly into a league handicapping system. Not just a tabulator but a direct score keeping interface into TAP's Pool Net system. This relationship proved to be fruitful and showed what could be done in today's hi tech world. With this being said, TAP decided to go completely in house and we at TAP wish Runout apps all the best for the future.
With this decision was born TAP's latest innovation, the new TAP the App score keeping app. Players can now not only keep score as before but they have at their finger tips a treasure trove of data that is stored into Pool Net. With this data comes bar graphs, pie charts, team standings, MVP ratings, scouting on opposing players, past team scores and score sheets and so much more that we can't list it all in this newsletter. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Programmer Russ Brown has plans for more bells and whistles in future upgrades.
Let's take a look at a few screen shots of what our members have access to with TAP the App.
Once a member downloads the free app on either the Apple or Google store by searching taptheapp and they get a password set up they will see our TAP logo that appears at the top of this newsletter. They will then go to their home page and see this below . (some of these screen shots have been cropped due to their size)
Note...If you have downloaded the app and have a problem logging in, contact your local TAP licensee.
You can now click on the Stats link and see your life time matches in Pool Net. (below)
Next is the "Scout" link (above) where players can see how their lifetime matches breaks down vs. each handicap group, complete with assorted pie charts, bar graphs, etc.
Players can also click on past score sheets such as the one above. Players winning their match are highlighted in green.
A player can then click on their name and bring that score sheet up to view as shown above.
Players can then click on their team (above) and then go to a stats page that charts how their team did from week to week as the session progresses as well as division standings and MVP ratings. (below)
We didn't even touch on the section with the score keeping app or the opposing player scout where players can search a player and view that player's life time record. Or how you can view opposing teams scorekeeping as it is happening live to make sure both teams are keeping accurate scores. TAP members can also text other teams thru the app to get up to date scores on matches being played at other locations.
