Delivered at Home

Providing our families with weekly bags of food is at the core of our mission but did you know TABLE is also providing remote nutrition education? 

We are excited to share some news about a pilot program we’ve been testing and will continue to roll out over the coming year called Chefs@Home!

Each month we deliver a “nutrition kit” including a recipe, fun education activities, and ingredients - encouraging the whole family to get involved in the kitchen and get excited about healthy eating. 

The first six months had an “Around the World” theme with food from Mexico, Japan, Italy, Native America, Greece, and India.

It's been fun to hear parents' reactions to the program. One mom even compared the boxes to the "Chopped" TV show!

We are excited to be back in person this year! Grab your friends and join us for this community tradition where you will enjoy soup, bread, live music and select a uniquely handcrafted bowl from one of our local potters.

Since TABLE started hosting Empty Bowls, we have raised nearly $140,000 to feed local kids. This event has been supported by hundreds of volunteers who have created thousands of beautiful, hand-painted bowls, and local chefs who have provided thousands of servings of soup and bread.

Celebrate the Local Market & Expo

TABLE will be joining local businesses and organizations at this year's Local Market & Expo taking place on September 15th from 5:00 - 7:00pm at the Carrboro Town Commons. We will have a booth at the event where attendees can learn more about TABLE's programs and how they can join us in our mission to feed local kids.
