Join the Virtual Choir!
We are delighted to invite YOU to join our virtual choir.

A HUGE thank you to Sung Lee, Music Director at Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church, for his willingness to share his time, technology smarts, and spearhead this collaboration!

We will be singing Jesus Never Fails arr. by Bradley Knight - to be part of a synod-wide, pre-recorded service for April 11.

Read how to participate below - please share with other vocalists you know might be interested!

Please note, your completed video must be uploaded by March 15.

++++

You will NEED:
  • A phone with a video recorder to record yourself (Please be sure to set up your phone to record you horizontally rather than vertically!!)
  • A computer or tablet to play the guide video
  • Headphones/earphones to hear the guide video
  • The score you print out
  • A QUIET place to record yourself

HOW TO RECORD:

1. Watch this example for an idea of what we are creating:

2. Print the music found here:

3. Choose your part from the options below. Every voice part will have a guide video which includes an orchestra's accompaniment and your own voice part.

4. The anthem begins with an orchestra and two solo singers, so the choir's very first entrance is from 1:24. The links above do not include the solo singers voices, but you will hear the guide voice counts 1, 2, 3, 4 before every entry of the choir.

5. Even though the choir is not singing from the beginning, please start your recording from the beginning. AND please continue recording until approximately five seconds after performing your final note. This will allow editors to fade out of the final scene. When ready to record, start your recording and state your name and the vocal part you are submitting. ("Martin Luther, Tenor")

6. When complete, please upload your file here:
Reminder: the deadline is Monday evening, March 15!
