Evil Dead: The Musical
OPENING THIS WEEKEND!
Book & Lyrics: George Reinblatt
Music: Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris & George Reinblatt
Directed by Christopher Celestin
Musical direction by Cory & Kale Coppin, Choreography by Dian Hoel

OUR 7TH YEAR OF PRESENTING EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL . SEVEN YEARS OF "THE SPLATTER ZONE"

Based on Sam Raimi’s 80s cult classic films, EVIL DEAD tells the tale of 5 college kids who travel to a cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force. And although it may sound like a horror, it’s not! The songs are hilariously campy and the show is bursting with more farce than a Monty Python skit. EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL unearths the old familiar story: boy and friends take a weekend getaway at abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes ancient evil spirit, friends turn into Candarian Demons, boy fights until dawn to survive. As musical mayhem descends upon this sleepover in the woods, “camp” takes on a whole new meaning with uproarious numbers like “All the Men in my Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons,” “Look Who’s Evil Now” and “Do the Necronomicon.”

Sutter Street Theatre’s production has a killer rock band, more blood, more fun, a multilevel set by award winning set designer Mike Jimena, new special effects with the help of Direworld. Come see the show in an intimate setting the way the show should be seen. Special seating available in the first three rows called the SPLATTER ZONE, for obvious reasons.

Don't be disappointed! Get your tickets NOW for EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL. Opening October 7 and running through October 31 on Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm, Sundays at 7:00pm plus Monday, October 30 and Halloween October 31 at 7:00pm. Splatter Zone seats are selling out fast.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!
Music and Lyrics by Judith Viorst, Music by Shelly Markham
Directed by Alyson Gilbert
Musical Direction and Choreography by Connie Mockenhaupt

Alexander is having a bad day. A terrible day. A horrible day. To be quite honest, it’s a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But then, everybody has bad days, sometimes. In this delightful adaptation of her popular book, Judith Viorst sets Alexander’s rather trying life to music and brings to the stage one of America’s feistiest characters. Not only does Alexander wake up with gum in his hair, but his mother forgets to pack him dessert, and his best friend decides he’s not his best friend anymore. And if that’s not bad enough, Alexander’s brothers don’t have any cavities but—he does. And just when it can’t get any worse, there are lima beans for supper and — yuck! — kissing on TV. It is enough to make anyone want to go to Australia.

Alexander’s struggles with life’s daily dramas will not only entertain but educate young audiences as they identify with Alexander and the obstacles he encounters, encouraging them to share their feelings and to realize that bad days happen — even in Australia.

Alexander opens October 14 and runs through November 26 on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm.

Tickets are $17 general, $15 seniors and students with ID card and $13 children 12 and under.

For on-line reservations go to www.SutterStreetTheatre.com or call our box office at (916) 353-1001.
