Spring Bird Migration Heads Back to the Island

The Tropical Birds are heading back across the Gulf of Mexico and will finally touch ground on the island after a 600-mile flight. Many new species of birds will be taking a rest from their tiresome journey. Take the time to seek out these newcomers as they take shelter during their travels. Look for the peak of these birds to land April 15th - April 25th. Click here to learn more.

SPRING BREAK IS ON ITS WAY AND
THE BEACHES ARE READY
We are so excited for the warm weather to come back and our beaches to be filled. This year, the DIPBB has made many improvements to help you surround yourself on Dauphin Island Public Beach. We have completely renovated all 3 beachfront pavilions. Eat a picnic lunch under one of these pavilions and take in the ocean air. The shower systems at the restrooms also have had many improvements to make your visit even more enjoyable. Get ready to surround yourself with spring weather and sunshine. Public Beach will officially open Spring Break, Friday, March 22, 2014. Be sure to like the Dauphin Island Public Beach & Pier so that we can update you throughout year.
THE CAMPGROUND IS A GREAT WAY TO ENJOY SPRING ON DAUPHIN ISLAND

Have you been cooped up all winter? Well, now is the time to book your trip to the Dauphin Island Campground! If you are looking to get that lure wet or just sit on the beach and relax, the Dauphin Island Campground is a great way to enjoy the Spring and Summer Season. The fish are biting and we look forward to a great spring fishing season to catch Grouper, Redfish, and Amberjack. Dauphin Island is scheduled to have a handful of Spring Events, such as the Gumbo Festival, Motorcycle Show, the Dauphin Island Regatta, and so much more. These events along with a trip to Fort Gaines, the Estuarium, the Audubon Sanctuary, and of course, the beaches, provide plenty to keep you entertained during your stay on the campground. Follow The Dauphin Island Campground on Facebook for occasional discounted camping rates.
