Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Hostos Community College Foundation Newsletter! This quarterly bulletin will share information about fundraising events, board members, individual and institutional gifts, and alumni. While there are many ways in which our supporters and friends connect with the College, each has one thing in common – a shared commitment to the dedicated students of Hostos.
Fundraising Events
The Hostos Community College Foundation held its 13 th Annual Golf Outing Classic on September 12 th at the Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Courses in the Bronx. This record-breaking golf outing was the most successful to date, raising $171,000 in support of the students of Hostos.
A round of golf, cocktail reception, dinner, awards and raffle drawings for terrific prizes made this event one to remember. However, the most gratifying aspect is that proceeds are applied to proven initiatives that further student success. Thanks to the supporters of the Golf Outing Classic, more students will benefit from scholarships, emergency funds, and other vital services, enabling them to persist and earn their degrees.
