Early Childhood Support Group
For parents & caregivers of young children (ages 1-4). Prepare for the transition from Early Intervention to School. Learn about topics related to your child, connect with others, share the unique life experience of having a young child with developmental disabilities. Learn about IEP's, resources and lots more! Held at Thom Early Intervention in Norwood. Facilitated by Brian Clark, Director, Family Autism Center.

Evening Support Group (ages 5-12) *New*
Do you have a child (ages 5-12) that is diagnosed with ASD or other developmental disability? Meet with other parents to discuss, share and connect. You will learn about information & resources, educational advocacy and become empowered. First Thursday of each month from 6:30-8:00p at The Arc of South Norfolk. Facilitated by Mindi Altman, parent of a child served by Family Autism Center.

Teenage Transition Support Group
Parents of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and/or ASD meet with other parents to informally share experiences & information regarding the issues you may face during the teenage years (ages 13 to 18). Held the second Thursday of each month from 10:00am-12:00pm. Facilitated by Tessa Cannata, Family Support Coordinator. Dads Group
Dads who have children with ASD & related Developmental Disabilities meet regularly during the school year to connect, learn information & provide mutual support around issues unique to fathers. Held on a Tuesday night each month from 7:15-9:00pm at The Arc of South Norfolk in the Lifeworks' end conference room. Facilitator: Jerry Jacobs, parent and Social Worker.

Residential Support Group
Parents of children in a residential placement come together to discuss issues and provide support for one another. This group meets every other month, Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00pm.
