Sunny Hills High School
A World-Class Education, Every Student, Every Day...
A Message from the Principal

Happy Friday,

It was nice for our students to have a shortened week after Spring Break to get back into the flow of things around campus.

On the Saturday evening before Spring Break, our annual Korean Culture Night was another successful one for our Korean Culture Club students. Tomorrow night, the Bayanihan Club will host its annual Pilipino Cultural Night in the PAC. These events are an outstanding way for our students to showcase their individual cultural heritage as a part of the rich diversity of our overall student body of the Hills.

The next couple of weeks will see quite a few events coming up for our Lancers. Prom is next Saturday, April 6th at the Long Beach Aquarium. Tickets can be purchased on the SHHS Webstore. Students need to complete a Prom Contract as well. The Spring musical, The Addams Family, also begins next week. Performances will be held on April 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13. Get your tickets here.

Starting next Monday, April 8th, all our Junior Lancers will participate in CAASPP state testing in English, math, and science. This week I visited our 11th-grade English classes to discuss the upcoming testing, explain how it can benefit them, and encourage our students to do their best! We will be on a block schedule during testing so look for that schedule to come out next week.

As always, be sure to scroll down and watch this week's episode of "Sunny Side Up" for a recap of the week. You will also find more highlights, reminders, guidance news, and other information below.

Have a wonderful weekend, Lancers!
