Sunmark Foundation Commences Summer of Kindness

The Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation commenced its fourth annual Summer of Kindness, completing three Kindness Projects in May and June. With plans to complete seven more projects throughout July and August, Sunmark is inviting children up to age 12 to participate and “deposit kindness” by submitting ideas of how they would spread kindness in their local communities. Throughout the summer, a Kindness Crew comprised of Foundation members and Sunmark staff will work to bring selected ideas to life. Girls Day Out Self-Care Bags

Sunmark led a group of 150 8th grade girls in assembling toiletry bags curated with items promoting physical and mental health.

College Kits for KIPP Seniors

The Kindness Crew provided essential supplies to graduating seniors as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic journey.

Ice Cream for Teachers

Sunmark treated area teachers to free ice cream at three small businesses in the Latham, Clifton Park, and Guilderland communities.

Favorite Foundation initiative so far?

Our Office Games fundraiser event. Seeing staff bring out that competitive but silly spirit to raise funds for the athletes created a very special bond between our two organizations.

Where is the best concert you've ever attended?

The Raging Idiots in Boston.

What would be the title of your autobiography?

“I Can’t, We Have a Game” because of all of the sports that my 3 children play, it keeps us very busy!
