Christ is Risen! Χριστός Ανέστη!

It was another busy week here at St. Spyridon as we celebrated and mourned together. On Sunday, we baptized the son of Andrew and Kayte Koulisis, Konstantinos. Tomorrow, we'll be baptizing the daughter of George and Eleni Romniou, Theodora. Congratulations! Να σας ζήσουν!

On Monday evening, some of us attended Great Vespers at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church in Webster as they celebrated their feast day. All the local parish priests were in attendance, Fr. Milad Selim from St. George offering a homily for us.

On Tuesday morning, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in honor of those great Saints, Constantine and Helen, here at St. Spyridon. It was good to see so many in attendance.

On Friday, we laid George Angelis to rest as he passed into eternity on Monday evening. It was good to also see so many people in attendance to express condolences to the grieving family.

Throughout the week, we have been having Greek Festival meetings, calls, and communications with the leaders of the committee. Our festival is now just around the corner, here before you know it. Please be sure to set the entire weekend aside to be with us.

Tomorrow is going to be a special day in another way: we'll be honoring Joan and Michael Constantinou who will be leaving us to move closer to family in Peabody. Those who have been affected by their lives and who have known them over these past 46 years should definitely plan to be with us.

On Monday, Memorial Day, I'll see many of you at Hope Cemetery at 10 am.
