The Second Birth:

A Strange but Wonderful Country

With Rev. Su Choy

In the book of John, a prominent Jewish religious leader named Nicodemus meets secretly with our Master Teacher Jesus to declare his faith in Jesus’ divine status. In absolute wonder, Nicodemus affirms his conviction that only a God-realized master could have done the miraculous works that Jesus had accomplished. Jesus, in turn, responds that anyone can contact the Divine Source and thereby know its wonders, but that such a seeker must undergo a spiritual “second birth.”

Join Rev. Su Choy in an uplifting exploration of Jesus’ most esoteric teachings regarding the “second birth” – the attainment of the infinite “kingdom” of divine consciousness. As Jesus points out, through intuitive knowledge, we free our identity from the limited material plane to soar in the joyous, limitless empire of Spirit. We come to awaken in what Unity co-founded Charles Fillmore once called a “strange and wonderful” new country where all things are possible.

Your drum journey includes:

1. instruction on basic - intermediate rhythms

2. pranayama (breath-work) applied to rhythms for maximum energy/chakra clearing

3. rhythmic affirmations/chanting for empowerment

4. games, song, and dance for sheer joy and fun!

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring plenty of water, as the drumming can be quite an aerobic workout. Though Su will be leading with a djembe drum, all drum types and instruments are welcomed.
