OAKLAND, CA- The Congregation of Miracles of Faith Community Church, ELCA in East Oakland invites the public to join in the celebration of the retirement of its pastor, Reverend Dr. Greggory L. Brown, who has served the church and the community with his wife, author and poet, Mary Lessen Brown, for 20 years of his more than 40 years of service to The Lord Jesus Christ. It will be at the church, 3:00 p.m. on June 25th
Throughout his leadership at Miracles of Faith Community Church, Dr. Brown has utilized music to bring the community together around issues of spirituality, social justice and civil rights at various programs held over the years. Slated for the celebration are Grammy-nominated piano virtuoso Ricardo Scales; The Kev Choice Ensemble; Dorothy “Oh Happy Day” Morrison; Rev. Bill Combs; Derrick Hughes; Rob Collier; DeAnne Brewer; KJ Jackson; Sonny Fairley; Rodney Byrd; Rhonda Benin & Paul Tillman-Smith to date.
The Jazz concert will be followed by a champagne reception in the Fellowship Hall of Miracles of Faith Community Church.
