MAY 24

GORDON PEERY AND EVE PIERCE

Eve Pierce is making a name for herself all over the Monadnock region. She's such a versatile singer that she can perform in a variety of situations with a huge repertoire to draw from: she's at home with the music of Harold Arlen, Taylor Swift, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Brandy Carlise; jazz classics, '60's and 70's folk rock, contemporary pop, and her own inimitable original compositions.

With Gordon Peery she has found an accompanist who is able to dance, as it were, on the keyboard (or guitar), finding just the right groove for engaging song delivery

The result is a musical journey that takes you all over the place, but ends up leaving you right at home. Sunapee Coffeehouse.

This is the last Sunapee Coffeehouse performance until fall.

STAGE & SCREEN

Ripcord

May 9 – 26

by David Lindsey-Abaire

A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Assisted Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the two women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden. As heartfelt as it is deliciously inappropriate, this is a high-stakes comedy about two women of a certain age locked in a no-holds-barred battle.

A very special May treat:  Peter Bloch’s VIMEO: Spring on McDaniels Marsh

Located in Springfield, NH, this vast wetlands area is a regular paddling spot for us ~ the variety of landscape and fauna is remarkable. Usually much of the open water is covered with a mat of water lilies and pickerel weed, but early in the season, we can get to all the shorelines.
