Childhood Experiences Research Study Seeking Participants
Sammy DeVincent, Summit Center doctoral trainee, is looking for participants for a research study she is conducting as a part of her doctoral dissertation on the impact of peoples’ experiences in childhood with their parents/primary caregivers. Sammy is seeking people over the age of 18, raised in the US, with and without diagnoses of ADHD, autism, and/or learning disabilities. To participate, you need to be able to recall what your relationship was like with your parent/primary caregiver growing up.
The results of this study will hopefully provide new information about how an individual’s past experiences may impact their current emotions and attitudes about themselves. Participation is through an anonymous online survey that takes about 15 minutes.

“If...you are consistently unhappy with how you’re allocating your time, then that's a wake-up call. We need to make adjustments. If you're perfectly happy with how you're doing, and you're meeting all of your expectations – your goals, your relationships, your career – and you want to spend an extra couple hours on Netflix, great! It might be...healthy, actually. But I think we need to be really honest with ourselves: were we proud of where that time was spent? Because it's something that you don't get back.”
