Summer Break

While Putnam County School students are out for summer, giving them time to relax and be kids, Feed the Need is still working hard behind the scenes. We are having food drives, securing snacks and drinks for summer programs, picking up rescued food each week, writing grants for future food purchases and planning for our Fall Fundraiser! Please read on to check it all out.

May Cereal Bars

There were several churches, organizations and people collecting cereal bars for local food-insecure children in the month of May! Pictured counter clockwise: Dunns Creek Community Church, a local resident and Liberty Baptist Church. Many more not pictured.

The jelly shelves are empty and FTN will be gearing up for the new school year starting in August. If your organization or friends would like to have a jelly drive we would love to have you join us! Call Stacey at 904-477-4356 for more info.

Yoga Class Donation!

Each Wednesday evening Deb teaches yoga at the Azalea City Brewery. The class challenges the yogis to be the best they can be. There is no fee for the class, though donations are welcome. We are so grateful that Deb has donated the proceeds of her classes to Feed the Need again! Deb works hard every week to plan lessons and give her time and her earnings. Thank you, Deb, and all the yogis who donate! We really appreciate you!

Capital City Grant!

Feed the Need of Putnam County was selected as one of the Capital City Bank Foundation recipients and was awarded a $1000.00 grant!! It is truly a blessing that businesses in our community support feeding local food insecure children. Thank you Capital City Bank!
