On August 4th TEEP closed out a summer to remember! This year over 50 TEEPers enjoyed a summer season jam-packed with exciting field trips, learning, and community building opportunities. Fun and learning mixed as they splashed in a duck tour of Boston, ventured into the Massachusetts State House (thanks to the State Senate), took in some natural history at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, and petted stingrays at the New England Aquarium.
What’s more, they were able to pair their daily academic enrichment learnings with real-world knowledge. One highlight was the relationships TEEP counselors in training (CIT’s) began developing with 9 volunteer mentors from Mass General Brigham’s Office of IDEaS. The CITs engaged with them through two discussion panels covering a variety of careers, and joined them on a tour of Boston College.
Their epic summer season culminated in a joyous graduation ceremony with their families and the TBC community at Trinity Church in the City of Boston. Memories were made, fun was had, and a beloved community was built, TEEP’s journey of impact continues!
