Employment Connection Day

We believe connection is the key to bringing us together and discovering new opportunities. Our Employment Connection Day on June 13th was a resounding success, beautifully exemplifying this belief, with 200 enthusiastic attendees coming together to network and grow. Job fairs play a vital role in our community by offering a platform for individuals to highlight their skills, explore new career paths, and connect with potential employers and community partners.

Discovering new opportunities is crucial for a community eager to utilize their talents and advance professionally. Events like this can foster hope, inspire ambition, and build a stronger, more resilient community. Thank you to all the companies that participated and contributed to making Employment Connection Day a resounding success.

Naturalization Ceremony

On July 1st, we experienced a deeply emotional moment as Centro hosted its first naturalization ceremony for new American citizens. Congratulations to everyone on this remarkable achievement; we wish you a future filled with opportunities. This event highlighted our role as a healing space for the community, providing a supportive environment for individuals to start their lives as citizens of the United States. Our heartfelt thanks go to Ben Baltes, Shelene Zárate, U.S. Representative Mark Pocan, John Pruhs, USCIS Milwaukee, Judge James Peterson, Fabiola Hamdan, our executive director Karen M. Coller, and our dedicated immigration team, including Jacqueline Suárez, Eddy Villacis, and Karen Pérez-Wilson, for making this possible. Together, we are building a brighter future for all.
