Stay Cool Out There

As the weather heats up, we encourage you to stay safe and hydrated while exploring our parks. Particularly when visiting Robert Louis Stevenson State Park, where the trails are exposed, it's essential to pack your hiking essentials, including sun protection and plenty of water. Another great way to beat the heat is to opt for cooler times of the day or choose shady trails when temperatures are high.

Enjoy the natural wonders of the park while taking precautions to ensure your well-being.

"Señorita Mariposa"

Join our partners at the Napa Open Space District for The Napa StoryWalk® as it moves to More Creek Park this July! This is an innovative and delightful way for families to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Take a leisurely walk, breathe in the fresh air, and immerse yourself in the story of the annual migration of monarch butterflies from the book "Señorita Mariposa". This captivating tale will inspire children and adults alike to appreciate the wonders of nature and the power of reading.

Join the Junior Rangers Program this Summer

Attention all young nature enthusiasts! We are excited to announce our Junior Rangers Program, which takes place every Saturday throughout the summer at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park. Join us from 10 AM to 11 AM for an engaging and educational experience. Meet at the lower restrooms in the Ritchey Creek Campground, where our naturalists will guide you through fun activities, nature exploration, and learning about the park's ecosystem. Working to Improve our Parks

New Golf Cart for Staff and Volunteers at Bothe

We are pleased to announce that the Napa Valley State Parks Association has recently purchased a golf cart for the Bothe-Napa Valley State Park staff and volunteers to use around the park and campground. This addition will greatly enhance the efficiency of park operations and allow our dedicated team to better serve visitors. Whether it's transporting supplies, assisting guests, or conducting routine patrols, the golf cart will contribute to a more seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our members and donors whose generous support made this acquisition possible.

Visitor Center Updates

Exciting transformations have been taking place at the Bothe-Napa Valley State Park Visitor Center! Over the past few months, we have conducted much-needed maintenance and updates, including the roof, exterior paint, HVAC system, refinished floors, and an upgraded staff break room/kitchen. These improvements aim to provide visitors with a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Our next focus will be on revamping the Visitors Center Gift Shop and Museum. Stay tuned for more updates!

Replacing the Mill Creek Footbridge

We are actively seeking funders to support replacing the Bale Grist Mill pedestrian bridge, a crucial infrastructure in the park. This bridge is vital in connecting visitors to the park's attractions. If you or someone you know is passionate about preserving our natural heritage, please consider supporting this important project. Together, we can ensure the accessibility and longevity of this historic landmark.
