Upcoming Fitness and Dance Classes

New sessions of both in-person and online Fitness classes begin in the next few weeks. Get in shape and stay in shape in our supportive, collegial courses. Newcomers are always welcome.

Jeannine Palermo's popular Total Body Workout with Bands (Course 12658) on Fridays, starting June 28, 2024, is a great way to get your heart pumping. Also beginning that same week are new sessions of Palermo's Body Sculpting (Thursday mornings in-person: Course 12657 and the chair-based version, Sit and Be Fit: Chair-Based Body Sculpting (Tuesday afternoons online: Course 12654, Thursday morning hybrid sessions, in person: Course 12655 and online: Course 12656) with exercises that safely increase muscular strength and endurance and will improve flexibility, range of motion, and body tone. All of the above start the last week of June.


Heather Buyers continues her low impact aerobic style group exercise with easy-to-follow routines set to music. Online Walk 15® (Course 12652) meets Monday mornings starting June 17, 2024, and in-person Walk 15® (Course 12653) meets Tuesday mornings starting July 2, 2024 (please note venue for the summer course is at Westchester Reform Temple.

Penny Bowman and Judy Schwartzman will lead more Movement to Music classes, complete with live piano accompaniment. Tuesday morning hybrid sessions meet in-person (Course 12608) or online (Course 12609). Thursday morning sessions meet online only (Course 12610) and Friday morning sessions meet in-person only (Course 12611). New sessions begin just after Independence Day in July.


Joey Zimet will start a new 6-week session of Postural Therapy Movement on Wednesday mornings, beginning July 10, 2024 (Course 12469). Learn realignment techniques to stand or sit up straight, walk with efficiency and balance, and breathe more naturally.


Louise Fecher is offering 6-week sessions of Essential Yoga (Course 12605) and Gentle Yoga (Course 12606), both starting Tuesday morning, July 9, 2024.


Ballroom Latin Dancing: East and West Coast Swing (Course 12631) with Maxim Arkhipenko begins a 6-week series on Saturday morning, July 13, 2024 -- no partner necessary.
