Bubbled Tennis Courts Planned for Lake Waterford Park

Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks plans to construct an "air supported structure" (a tennis bubble) at Lake Waterford Park, 830 Pasadena Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122.

The Fiscal Year '24 County Budget (July '23 to June 30th, '24) includes updated improvements to the Lake Waterford Park Project. The County plans to install a year-round tennis bubble with 6 tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts. The County is conducting a planning process which will include a public meeting before construction begins.

Lake Waterford Park is one of the adaptive locations in the County's parks system. The park includes an adaptive playground and baseball field, and the project improvements include an outdoor chair hockey court. Tennis in Anne Arundel County includes Special Olympics, Unified Tennis, adaptive tennis, and Maryland has an active Wheelchair Tennis community as well as other adaptive tennis programs.
