THE HUMAN ASPECT OF
DATA SECURITY
by BJ Bouschor, VP, Information Technology, FireKeepers Casino Hotel
In today's world, everything is done with technology. While this trend has greatly increased productivity, technology has also made it easier for criminals to steal personal information, as well as obtain access to vital company data. The most common way one may gain access to an individual's or company's data is through email. WHAT'S HAPPENING IN
SPORTS BETTING
Sports betting
is on the rise in the U.S. Apart from spread betting, 'draw no bet' wagers and a few other examples, a bet will have two possible outcomes: winning a profit based on bookmaker odds, or losing the wager. This has proven a huge attraction to the public for the past several decades. Sports betting legalization has been a topic in the gaming industry for the past several decades. This is no surprise given the sports betting industry represents a massive untapped opportunity domestically. It's estimated that Americans bet roughly $100 billion per year on NFL and college football games alone. Most of this figure comes from illegal betting.[1]
