Fort Pierce Summer program puts on theater show for community | Get ready to be transported to the land of Agrabah in a local rendition of "Aladdin Jr." in Fort Pierce! 'E.N.D. IT!', an after-school program for youths, is putting on its summer show on July 26 at the McAlpin Fine Arts Center. Tallahassee nonprofit encourages young girls to 'Dare to Dream' | Since 2005, Dare to Dream Young Girls has served over 5,000 girls with afterschool programs, summer camps, workshop events and spa days. The nonprofit is dedicated to empowering and nurturing girls ages 7 to 11, into well-rounded young women, by teaching them skills and trades like fashion designing and cooking. Youth voice in afterschool STEM: Peeking behind the curtain | STEM learning in afterschool has really taken off over the past decade and there is little doubt of the importance of these spaces for engaging young people with STEM. The most recent America After 3PM study tells us that 73% of afterschool programs offer STEM and that 72% of parents look for these opportunities when choosing a program for their children. | | |

Teen Science Cafe Fellows- 2024-2025

The Teen Science Cafe (TSC) Fellows initiative is a ten-month training program designed to help informal educators implement Teen Science Cafes in their community. Teen Science Cafe Fellows receive one-on-one support from TSC Guides to launch a cafe program and host three cafe events during the year. Fellows receive a $2,500 stipend to support their work!
