Concert in the Park Series: Amelia Day & The Cloves
Washington-born, Nashville-based artist Amelia Day joined forces with Seattle-area band The Cloves in late 2022 as folk-rock collaboration “Amelia Day & The Cloves.” The group’s unique sound, which features Wurlitzer electric piano, cello, and lush three-part harmonies, has landed them headlining shows at iconic Washington venues, including McMenamin’s Spanish Ballroom and Seattle’s The Triple Door.

Join the Puget Soundkeepr Alliance's Upper Duwamish Kayak Cleanup
July 20th and 21st.
Saturday, July 20, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Sunday, July 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This kayak- and boat-supported cleanup will work to remove decades of debris that has built up in the Duwamish River and its shoreline. Volunteer opportunities are available both in kayaks and onshore.

Adaptive Pickleball Play Day July 7th

Join us for our second Adaptive Pickleball Play Day on Sunday, July 7th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For adaptive players and friends ages 14 and up.
The day will be an indoor introduction to pickleball. A limited number of sports chairs will be available, and we’ll have paddles for players.

FREE Summer STEM Program Starting July 9th
Techbridge Girls and Tukwila Parks & Recreation invite young women entering or currently in high school to explore a career in STEM. The free, 8-week program starts July 9th at 4 p.m.
Techbridge Girls challenges gender, racial, and class bias in STEM fields and culture by developing gender-responsive and culturally relevant STEM curricula that help girls see their unique STEM lineage, community, interests, and path to success.

This page-turner is a family history and autobiography by Chinese writer Jung Chang. The book is set against the backdrop of 20th-century China, in particular the first three decades of Communist rule (1949-1978).
