Massive Solar Panel Installation Complete
Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Advanced Technology Organization partnered with the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America to build a 10,000 square feet, 90 kW solar panel system at The IROEC. Aside from providing The IROEC with a source of renewable energy, the solar panel arrays will serve as an educational tool for area schools and youth groups.

The system will feature two large display screens in the Harrison Lodge Dining Hall. The displays will show the power being used and what the solar panel system is generating in real time, as well as other weather data. There will also be two weather stations and a computer area with educational information.
Solar Panels
The solar panels are installed on four 2,500 square foot structures.
