Exterior Modification Reminders

Springtime is always the most popular time to start exterior projects. Before you begin any of those projects, please remember that all exterior modifications must be applied for and approved by the DRC.

Because of the number of projects being submitted, the required consultation meetings fill up quickly, so plan installation times accordingly. Also, it will take some time for the DRC to review the number of applications being submitted. Contact a Design Review Coordinator with any questions you have about your applications. We’re happy to help.

Mosquito Abatement

In the coming weeks, you may notice folks from Salt Lake County performing some testing and mosquito abatement at Oquirrh Lake. While we don't anticipate problems with mosquitos, the county is being proactive to avoid any issues due to back-to-back spring seasons with more water than expected. Mayflies are buzzing around the lake; you can read more about them on our website.

Playground Closures

Crews will finish replacing the surface material at Boulder Park this week. Once the material is poured, it will take a day or so to cure. Please do not use or play on the playground while this work is finished. Orchard Park and Bowery Park are now completed.

Landscaping Work at North Shore

Landscaping and repairs are currently taking place near Northshore & The Pearl.. These repairs are expected to take 3-4 weeks. Crews will be working on landscape improvements in the area. While the areas shaded in red in the image above will be fenced off during this time, access to the path around Oquirrh Lake will remain open.
