Awards of Bravery

This past month a fire had started in a bedroom in one of Daybreak's houses. Two residents, Pat and Doug, heard the fire alarm, and investigated for the cause. They checked under a door that had smoke coming out of it, and saw a fellow resident unconscious on the floor. Pat and Doug acted quickly, broke the door down, and got their fellow resident to safety, put the fire out, and ensured everyone was okay.

We are very thankful for Pat and Doug's act of bravery, selflessness, and life saving actions.

Volunteer Wanted

Daybreak is looking for volunteers willing to garden/lawn care and maintenance for our homes.

To the left is a before and after picture of our Flora House front garden that a volunteer assisted in beautifying.

1000 Island Cruise

Next month, staff have arranged for Daybreak residents to go on a 2 hour 1000 Island Cruise. Residents will take a bus to Rockport and get to experience the 1000 Islands. Many residents and staff alike are very excited for this very fun event!
