Nassau Suffolk Law Services Suffolk is holding a Free Bankruptcy Clinic for eligible low-income Suffolk County residents at our Islandia office this summer.
Once a client is determined eligible, they can meet with a pro bono bankruptcy attorney for a consultation to receive advice and counsel regarding filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Clients can ask questions, learn about the process, and get feedback on if and when they should file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Interested Suffolk County residents should call 631-232-2400 ext: 3331 by August 1st. Clients should leave their name and contact information and we will get back to them to set up an eligibility intake appointment which will take place in July or early August. After an intake appointment is completed and eligibility is determined, clients will be invited to the bankruptcy clinic in mid-August which will be conducted in person at our Islandia office or by Zoom. If you or your clients have any questions, please email Suffolkprobono@nsls.legal and include the words "Bankruptcy Clinic" in the subject space.
