Hello everyone:
A belated Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there who care for others as a mother cares. I appreciate you all!
How's everyone doing? I hope you're well. We had some bumps in the road last week, weather-wise, and I am feeling very grateful for family, safety and community this week.
I have mentioned before, I grew up in Kalamazoo, MI. In addition, I spend a lot of time on Big Twin Lake in Dowagiac, MI. Both communities were impacted last Tuesday by tornadoes. I visited both communities over the weekend. Thankfully resources are mobilized and the communities are healing. But wow, seeing the destruction of physical structures side by side with the outpouring of support and care - it's a lot to process.
In the midst of the chaos, there were some high points. Most days are a blend of both, it seems. One high point was on Wednesday last week, when I addressed the National Junior Honor Society at our local Middle School. What an amazing group of students. They and their parents have a lot to be proud of! This week I am sharing my speech to them. In the speech, I talk about the importance of consistency and practice when it comes to success. And they probably know that better than me! But if you would like to knoq more, check out this week's new article Success Requires Practice - A Lot Of Practice!
I would love to speak to you and your group this year! Reach out to me to set up a time for your workplace wellness fair or professional development, your women's group and more. I look forward to presenting to you and your group in 2024.
Do you listen to my podcast episodes every week? If you like to read the newsletter, you may also like to listen to the podcast! You can listen on all the podcast apps, of course. The 4 most popular platforms for my listeners seem to be Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Google Chrome and Spotify, at least this week. AND, if you don't typically listen to podcasts, you can listen on my website, or on my YouTube Channel. Check it out!
