Scholarship Opportunities Available – Deadlines Approaching

Arthur Savage Scholarship in Environmental Law provides funding for an ESF senior who plans to attend law school directly after graduating from ESF to pursue a career in environmental law.
Applicants must be full-time ESF seniors or juniors during the 2022-2023 academic year, and plan to attend law school starting in Fall 2023 or 2024, and specialize in environmental law. Email a single PDF file containing the following to Dr. Robert Malmsheimer:
- A one-page (single-spaced with 1” margins) cover letter describing:
- Highlights of your background academic career at ESF
- How your academic career has prepared them for law school
- Why you are interested in a career in environmental law
- Your goals for a legal career
- Current resume
- Current ESF transcript (unofficial downloaded from Banner is acceptable)
The scholarship recipient will be selected based on academic performance at ESF, and their prospects for attending law school and practicing environmental law.
Deadline: Friday, Feb. 3
Gilman Scholarship: If you’re considering studying abroad, you could be eligible to receive up to $5,000 — or up to $8,000 if you’re studying a Critical Need Language — to go abroad if you’re a U.S. citizen and Federal Pell Grant recipient.
