Submit Your Storyfest Award Submissions by Feb. 6

There are fewer things more powerful than a story – and fewer topics more compelling than the one about our changing planet and what we’re doing to protect it.

The Planet Forward Storyfest Awards invite ESF students to use their authentic voices to tell stories about how to best care for the earth. They are looking for "stories that inspire, motivate, and drive change; stories that are compelling, thought-provoking, and vibrantly stimulating.”

Get details on the award categories, topic areas, and prizes — and check out previous ESF winners and finalists here. Hurry – the deadline is 11:59 p.m. Feb. 6!

Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open

Nominations are being accepted for the 2023 ESF Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame honors former students, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff, and ESF community members who excelled in ESF athletics by recognizing the contribution of those who have brought distinction, honor, and excellence to ESF athletics and to familiarize the entire campus community and alumni with ESF’s rich athletic history.

The deadline is Feb. 28!

408 Baker Transformed into Sustainable Event Space

A new refrigerator, reusable plates and coffee cups, and a dishwasher have been installed in 408 Baker to create a more efficient and sustainable event space.

Reusable items and the refrigerator are explicitly for use in that room. Storing event leftovers for more than 24 hours or using the refrigerator for individual purposes is not permitted. The host is responsible for washing, drying, and re-shelving all items used for an event.

This initiative was made possible through Student Success and Engagement, SustainabiliTEAM, the Grounds Crew, the Office of Sustainability and their research assistants, and the Ranger School, who donated the dishware.
