Studio Stroll - A Don't Miss on Saturday May 11

To celebrate River District Arts second anniversary, we invite you to a Studio Stroll on Saturday, May 11 from noon to 4.

Each of the fourteen artists in our nine working studios will be present and displaying their newest works.  There will be  a special drawing for those attending to win a $100 gift certificate toward a future River District Arts purchase.  You will not need to be present at the drawing to win, but the only way to enter is to attend the Studio Stroll. Plus $2 ice cream sundaes with cherries on top!

All purchases from the studios will be discounted by 15 percent only on the day of the event. Take advantage of this great opportunity to visit with our artists, learn what makes them tick and buy a piece of art at a special Studio Stroll
price.

Volunteers from  the Rappahannock Food Pantry will be raising funds by selling
Mother's Day Flowers on the porch during Studio Stroll.  Be sure to pick
up a bouquet for Mom!

May 4 - 31  Pittinger, Ramsay & Tarry

Pam Pittinger, Jim Ramsay and Linda Tarry will be featured in the River Gallery during May.  The three well known local artists have teamed up to share their latest work. Pam, an abstract artist who works on large, colorful paintings, will be showing a new series of mixed media drawings of "Aliens."  Jim painted representationally most of his art career until 2007 when he did an about face and now concentrates on abstract oils.  Linda is known for her mosaic and found object art.  Her latest work explores story telling in the most visual form.  Stop by on Saturday May 4 for the opening reception at 2pm.

 Rappahannock Central
Two years ago the doors were open after an        extensive renovation by Lucille and Jerome  Niessen (shown at left during construction).
What was once an apple packing facility,
the historic building is now home to a vibrant
community of creativity!  Rappahannock Central consists of nine working studios, two exhibiting galleries featuring local and regional art, an Artisan Market with fine Virginia craft and the Middle Street Gallery, an artist cooperative with twenty artists. We are proud of this transformation and invite you to experience it.
