Jordan
Jordan is young. Yet, he has an attitude that is bigger than life. He thinks he knows everything and makes outrageous statements. He has very few friends, if you can call them friends. There are enough hints that we know his home life isn’t great. Such a precarious spot Jordan is at. The easiest path forward for him is to latch onto the older youth who will introduce him to using drugs with the promise of acceptance and belonging.
Yet Jordan has another option. He is coming to the drop-in where there is an invitation to join into a community that will teach him what friendship is, that will give the supports that home can’t provide him. There are small glimpses of his true self that is sensitive. He has so much possibility, yet needs the consistency and constancy that a place like The Dam provides.
