A Message from the Vice Chancellor
Hi, Student Affairs team!
I know every day during this pandemic feels like Groundhog Day to some extent, so I hope you’ll understand if I repeat my sincere thank you for everything you are doing to support Carolina and our students as we march into the spring semester. And — good news! — Sir Walter Wally did not see his shadow on Tuesday, so here’s hoping for an early spring and more sunshine for all!
Don’t forget tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 5, is Zoom Free Friday! While we can’t control our schedules completely, we hope that by setting aside this day each month you may lighten your scheduled meeting time and use the opportunity to wrap up your work week with focus and calm!
Thanks for all you do!
Amy

Wellness Champions Recipe
Did you know February is Heart Health Month? Tomorrow, Feb. 5, is also National Wear Red Day, as part of the American Health Association’s Go Red for Women initiative. Take a selfie of you wearing red and share it with us at: studentaffairs@unc.edu! To celebrate Hearth Health Month, we are sharing this simple heart-healthy recipe video from our own Annie Penrose, clinical nutrition specialist in Campus Health. In the next edition of SA Connection, we will share a calendar of heart healthy activities — from walking for 15 minutes to learning new eating habits.

We are also honored to include a spoken word performance by Chapel Hill's inaugural Poet Laureate, CJ Suitt.
