STROLL THE STREETS KICK-OFF

Friday, June 7, 6-8pm

The BDL Friends host this outdoor event with Boyne City Main Street. Includes Summer Reading Program registration info, face-painting, crafts, games, a used book sale, as well as free popcorn, ice cream, sno-cones, and cotton candy. Free and fun stuff for all ages!

Adventure Begins at Your Library

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Starts June 7

Adults: Enter to win weekly drawings for prize bundles by completing weekly reading logs. Each weekly entry is also an entry for the grand prize. Pick up your log sheet at the library!

Teens: Win daily dice challenge prizes by rolling a higher number than the librarian. An extra chance for reading at least 20 minutes. Each day is an entry into the grand prize drawing. Also participate in Teen BINGO Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win. Pick one up at the BDL. Ages 12+.

Kids: Pick-up a reading log sheet from our

Children’s Department. Every 450 minutes of reading is a new prize earned. Can complete other fun activities on sheet that count towards minutes as well. You can do it! Ages 0-12.


BOOKMOBILE SUMMER KID STUFF

Go Outside! Adventures in Nature

Geared towards grades K-5. Visit the BDL Bookmobile for kid-friendly FUN with a read aloud followed by an activity that can be completed on-site or at home, and a snack.


Bookmobile stops are at township halls from 1-3pm, activities start at 2pm.

As part of the library Summer Reading Program you can also get Brag Tags for visiting the bookmobile at the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays, Stroll the Streets on Fridays, and Township Halls.

Our capital-F Friends' used book shop! Open daily and updated regularly. By cash donation, next to the the newspapers upstairs. New fiction, hobbyist nonfiction, antique, rare, first editions, and more.


The Friends raise money through book sales, membership drives, and special events that help fund library programs and projects. As board members, we enjoy our work and our mission, and we would love to see you at our monthly meetings! For more information, click here or
