October 2022

Happy October!

Welcome to the monthly newsletter,

Strive to Thrive 365!

The Wellness & Fun Committees have joined forces to become "The Triple B Committee!" It stands for "Building a Better BCESC." Our hope is that each month you are compelled to participate in the suggested activities, striving to thrive, every day (hence the "365"). You help build our agency to become a better place!

Optimistic October

Today's challenge: Take a small step towards a goal that really matters to you.

My life is really busy right now, as I'm sure it is for many of you. I've slacked in my eating habits and want to start meal planning to ease the stress of preparing daily lunches and dinners for me and my family.

What can you do?

TRUNK OR TREAT IS BACK!

BCESC's free community event continues to grow in popularity each year. This year, we are returning to the Butler County Fairgrounds. We will need all the help we can get throughout our organization to make this event successful.

If you would like to support the event, there are two ways you can get involved:

DONATE TO THE CAUSE

Drop off your bags of individually wrapped candy at the central office (400 N. Erie in Hamilton) or send them via the transportation team. Collection boxes are also located at the following Head Start sites:

  • Fairfield Bach
  • Fairfield Dixie
  • Fairfield Nilles
  • Hamilton ELC
  • Grant ELC
  • Middletown ELC

VOLUNTEER AT THE EVENT

Last year we had nearly 30 decorated vehicles and costumed volunteers and we had a ton of fun. If the weather is nice this year, we are going to need even more!

If you are able to volunteer your time or decorate your trunk (and yourself), please let us know by filling out this formWe are asking decorators to please bring a base supply of candy to get them started.

ANNUAL BIOMETRIC SCREENING

Time is winding down to complete your annual biometric health screening if you are enrolled in the Butler Health Plan to receive $150 off your annual deductible for next year. Please click the Butler Health Plan button below to access forms.
