Strangers AND Pilgrims!!! 5/26/24
Hebrews 11:13-16 (KJV)
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
“THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
A heart-felt shout out to the TOO MANY men and women who GAVE there lives in pursuit of a better world and better life-THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These BRAVE men and women “gladly” gave their lives for you and me.
“ALL GAVE SOME-SOME GAVE ALL!”
AND this also applies to those many Christians who willingly give their lives DAILY in the cause of Christ.....
1 Corinthians 15:30-31 (KJV)
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
WE ARE ALL CALLED TO BE SOLDIERS FOR JESUS CHRIST!!!!
2 Timothy 2:3-4 (KJV)
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
I am TOO OFTEN tempted to doubt and feel sorry for myself because of my too many cares and worries-don't we all????
I “see” others basking in the wonders of THIS life-having and doing what is not to be for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT-THANK GOD-as a Pastor I am PRIVILEGED to see the other side of life.
The “TOO MANY” who have less than I and suffer and have suffered much more than me........................
“You have YOUR troubles-I have mine!!!!” AMEN!!??
TODAY-as WE go about our daily lives and BBQ to our hearts content-
BE THANKFUL!!!!!!
WHATEVERYAGOT is most likely better than another!!!!!
PLEASE never say it “can't get any worse” because it easily can!!!!
Psalm 100:1-5 (KJV)
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
