Annual Appeal

We are still far behind our goal.

We still have a $128,000 gap.

With only 15 days to go, each day Payton needs $8,500 per day or $60,000 per week to reach the goal.

Here is how we can (will!) do it:

  • We need to ~$8,500 per day, or ~$60,000 per week
  • We need 100% participation from our families, every gift gets us closer to our goal.
  • We also need many more higher level gifts, from $2,500 to $10,000+
  • Some past givers have not yet given this year, know that the time is now
  • Each year we have needed families to make second gifts, if you can please do so today
  • Corporate matching, check if your companies matches HERE

** While we are targeting an average gift of ~$1,100 across a very socio-economically diverse range of Payton families, to make goal each year we need many, many families to give well above $1,100**

So, please consider donating to Payton's Annual Appeal. As always, if you have any questions or if you'd like a deeper understanding of what school needs are met through our Annual Appeal, please contact a member of our fundraising team.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and thank you in advance for your support!

Friends of Payton (FOP) is the primary organization for parents and guardians to support Walter Payton College Prep. FOP has a 3-pronged mission, as it creates and supports opportunities to (i) Volunteer, (ii) Participate & Build Community, and (iii) Financially Support Payton.

Our mission is to enrich the school's educational and extracurricular activities with resources that supplement the limited funding allotted to Payton through the Chicago Public School system. FOP is run by parents/guardians of Payton students as an audit-compliant 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to the school through FOP are tax-exempt.

Every parent and guardian of a current Payton student is automatically a member of Friends of Payton - there are no membership dues or application processes. Learn how to get involved by attending a Payton Community Meeting or by contacting FriendsofPayton@gmail.com or visiting the FOP website at https://www.wpcp.org/FOP for more information.
