Step by Step Guide to Using Mindbody!
Since many people are struggling to figure this all out, I figured I would make a step by step guide on how to make a profile, how to find Mindbody and how to sign up for classes. I hope this helps clarify things.

Monday, November 9th.

Finding Mindbody Online
There are 3 ways to access our Online and In person classes:
  1. Download the Mindbody Fitness app from the app store.
  2. Download the Longfellow app from the app store.
  3. Go to clients.mindbodyonline.com (there were problems with this link yesterday that seem to have been resolved).

All apps are free. The Longfellow app is the easiest to navigate because you don't have to search for Longfellow like you do in the Mindbody app, but Mindbody has some features that the Longfellow app doesn't. If you struggle with tech, the Longfellow app might be the way to go, but it's a personal preference.
Making a Profile
The profile is also free to make. Many members already have a profile from when we first launched Mindbody in 2016. Some have been deactivated from lack of use by the system, some have not.
Use your email address and try to create a profile. If it says you already have one, but you don't remember your password, Janine can reset it for you, or you can reset it if given the prompt. If Mindbody doesn't recognize you at all, create a profile then contact Janine at luminamindbody@gmail.com so that she can designate you as a member. If Mindbody doesn't recognize you as a member it will ask you to pay for classes. All classes, both in person and online, are free to members. Please make sure that you have an email address in your profile, especially if you plan to take the Virtual Classes.
Anyone who has specifically purchased a 30 day Online membership through Mindbody already has a Mindbody account. Please contact Janine if you can't sign in.
Signing up for Classes
Both our In person and Virtual classes require pre-registration. For In Person classes we have limited spots available in order to maintain proper distancing, so signing up ahead of time will keep you from being shut out of the class. If for some reason you are unable to make it to a class that you signed up for, please cancel yourself from the class (details below) or email luminamindbody@gmail.com and Janine can do it for you.
For our Virtual Classes, you need to pre-register so that Mindbody can send you the link that gets you into the class. Please sign up earlier rather than later. Signing up at the last minute risks you not getting the link in time for the start of class. Mindbody will send out an email 30 minutes before the start of the class.

How to Sign up for Classes:
Once you have signed into Mindbody (website or app) search for Longfellow Health Clubs in Natick or Wayland. If you are using the Longfellow app, our schedules will come up automatically and you can choose to see Natick Classes or Wayland classes. With the apps, once you have signed in you remain signed in. You can designate the Longfellow Clubs as favorites on the Mindbody app by clicking the little heart in the upper right corner of the box that says Longfellow Health Clubs. That way you don't have to search every time you open the app. There are separate options for Natick and Wayland in both apps.
If you are using the website, it will remember the clubs after you sign into them once.

If you are using the Longfellow app:
Click the 3 lines at the upper left hand side and that will bring you to the class types. If you are looking for our Virtual classes, click Online Classes and that will bring you to our online class schedule. If you want to see all of our classes, click All Classes, etc. Our online classes have the word "Virtual" in the title. If you are signing up for a class that meets in person, make sure that it doesn't say Virtual as some of our classes are Hybrid (In person and Virtual). Click the class that you want to take and then click "book class." If it asks you to pay for classes, please contact Janine.

If you are using the Mindbody app:
Click on the club where you want to take class to see the schedule (even our online classes have a location since many classes are also being taught live. If you don't see the class you are looking for, check in the other club's location). Click on the date that you want to see. If you are looking to the next week, with your finger, slide the calendar to the left. Choose the date you want and then scroll down until you see the class you wish to take. Click "book." If you have a pass available (like your Longfellow or Online membership) it will tell you that you have a pass available. Confirm that you want to book that class. If it asks you to pay and you are a Longfellow or Online member, please contact Janine.

If you are signing in on a computer using the web address:
Go to clients.mindbodyonline.com and sign in using your email and password. Search for Longfellow Health Clubs in either Natick or Wayland. If you want to see classes in both Natick and Wayland all together, you can toggle that once you click on a class schedule.

Toward the top of the page you will see tabs for the different class types. You can click "All Classes," "Online Classes," "Group Exercise," "Lumina," "Reformer,"etc depending on which classes you wish to take. If you have clicked on "Online Classes," for example, it will take you to today's schedule (whatever date "today" might be). Click the calendar icon toward the upper right side of the screen to choose the date of the class you wish to take. Click "Sign up now" to sign up. You can either choose to do a single reservation (take the class just once) or you can create a recurring reservation. Click the appropriate button to make your choice. If it asks you to pay for your class, please contact Janine.
Next it will bring to you to the schedule of all of the classes that you have reserved. If you need to cancel any of those classes, just click cancel. You can return to that page anytime by clicking "my schedule" which is in the top third of the page toward the center.
Taking Classes
On the day of your class, you will receive an email 30 minutes before the start of the class which will allow you access to the "classroom." It is essential that your email is part of your profile or you will not get this notification and cannot join the class. Click on the link which will bring you to the "waiting room." If you want the teacher to be able to see you and hear you, like with Zoom, you'll need to allow Mindbody access to your camera and microphone (icons at the top of your screen). All microphones will be automatically muted once the class starts, but you can unmute at any time. The teacher can also unmute everyone if she desires. When the teacher enters, you'll be able to see her and the other students, probably 5-10 minutes before the official start of class. Once the class officially starts, she'll mute the students and start recording. Classes will be recorded so that they can be watched later On Demand, but only the teacher's screen will be recorded, even if she can see everyone in the class. Only the first 15 people registered will be visible to the teacher, but all registrants will be able to watch the class.
Taking Classes On Demand
Once classes have been recorded they will be stored in the Video On Demand section (which is not yet visible because we don't have any recorded classes yet). As a Full member or Online member you will have access to the recorded classes and can watch anytime you like, as many times as you like.
Our Facebook groups will remain up as well so that you can revisit old classes, if you are in the groups. If you are not and would like to be, click the buttons below to request to join. We also have about 3 months worth of classes on our Public Facebook pages that you can watch for free as well without joining the groups (buttons below).
