FROM OUR PTSA PRESIDENT
Dear Steinbrenner Students, Families, and Teachers,
As part of our participation in the National PTA's School of Excellence program, our PTSA will be launching a new initiative this school year called
"Steinbrenner Cares."
We would like to, through this program, come up with ways to assist Steinbrenner students that have needs in various areas. Students will always remain anonymous to us to protect their privacy.
This is where YOU can help! We need a few volunteers to work on this initiative to help secure assistance when needs arise and to get the word out to our Steinbrenner family about the program. This is NOT a fundraising position! We have a fundraiser kicking off in a couple of weeks to help us fund this initiative.
Our goal through this initiative is to participate in helping to enrich the overall well-being of students that need it. Please email me if you'd like to help with
"Steinbrenner Cares".
Senior parents and students
, you can find the complete set of requirements for the PTSA scholarship on our website (www.steinbrennerptsa.org ) under "PTSA
Links->PTSA Scholarship Information". One of the ways that students can get their volunteer hours is through opportunities provided by the PTSA's Student Ambassadors (SA). [You do not have to be a member of SA to volunteer.]
Our members continue to support Steinbrenner by giving of their time and volunteering as needed. Please consider signing up to be a volunteer!
On behalf of the Steinbrenner PTSA Board, thanks for your continued support!
"A strong PTSA embodies parent involvement and parent involvement represents student success."

2018-2019 Bell Schedule Approved by School Board
On Tuesday, October 17th, the Hillsborough County School Board voted to approve the 2018-2019 bell schedule, which was based on community input and proposed by
Superintendent Jeff Eakins last week
At our School Board's request, our district first asked for community input to create possible bell schedule options. We then launched a Bell Schedule Survey that asked the public to choose one of six possible schedule options.
Nearly 57,000 people responded to choose one of the six options. The new 2018-2019 bell schedule is based on the option that was most preferred by parents, students, and school employees.
This is the general schedule that our district will use for the 2018-2019 school year:
The bell schedule will take effect in August of 2018, giving families nearly a year to adjust their plans. We plan to offer before-school and after-school care at a low cost at all elementary and middle schools with a need.
