So much is happening here at STEP!  Read on for the inside scoop!

STEP in Steel Toe Event

After the last year's smashing success, STEP is returning to our friends at Steel Toe Brewing with the STEP in Steel Toe Event!

Tickets are on sale now for Thursday, September 28, 5:00-7:00pm  at Steel Toe Brewing

Steel Toe Brewing has generously donated their taproom and service for a fun STEP event. As if that's not enough they will also be donating a portion of the profits from every pint sold to STEP.

A ticket price of $20 will include beer samples, an opportunity to learn about STEP's successes empowering lives and restoring hope in St. Louis Park, and a brewery tour. Food trucks will be on site if you need something to accompany your beer.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets well ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased here.

You will not want to miss this event that sold out early last year!

We Are Hiring!

STEP is hiring! Are you or someone you know interested in working in
 a positive team environment?

We currently have two positions available, f ull-time volunteer & community relations coordinator  and part-time experienced  social worker to join our team. Follow  the links for the full job postings.   Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
 Winter Coats

The kids are back to school and fall is just starting but here at STEP we are thinking about winter!  We want to ensure that children and families have the warm winter wear that they need when the cold begins.

During the month of October STEP provides winter coats and other winter clothing items to residents in need living in St. Louis Park. Residents may access this program as they would the clothing closet.  We receive many coats for this program in partnership with the Coats for Kids Program sponsored by Pilgrim's Cleaners. However we rely heavily on donations from the community to complete the full needs.

We are currently looking for donations of new or clean gently used kids, women and men's coats, hats, boots, snow pants and gloves.  If you are able to help follow the link to see our donation hours.  Thanks for helping all our families stay warm this winter!

Back to School Distribution a Success

This year STEP was able to provide 464 St. Louis Park kids with customized school supplies!  We are so grateful to all of the community support we recei ved to make this event an amazing success!

Extra thanks goes to our tireless long-time volunteers who make this program work and to the many individual, businesses, and faith groups who donated this year.
Thank you!
STEP Needs You!

STEP is currently looking for regular weekly volunteers that are able to help with incoming food rescue delivery Monday through Friday mornings. Volunteers would help us process donations from local grocery stores.  This allows us to distribute fresh produce, bread and dairy items to our clients, thus feeding community members in need and reducing food waste.

We are also currently looking for volunteers with their own vehicles who would be willing to pick up produce at various stores.

Please contact Maryanne at maryanne@stepslp.org for more information.
